Hey there, I'm Dana Jolly.
I’ve always been a nurse. I just had to get licensed to be able to legally practice!
Born and raised in a suburb of Richmond, Virginia, I left home to study nursing at Clemson University. I gained a solid education and a southern drawl.
I worked clinically for 17 years before I began work as an LNC. My varied clinical background includes oncology, IV therapy, ICU, PACU, administration, and sales. My LNC career was not well thought out.
In fact, I “fell into” LNC en route to a fabulous California vacation when my flight was delayed. As usual, I immediately struck up a conversation with the stranger sitting next to me. Turned out, that impulse would start me off on my LNC career. That stranger was a nurse paralegal (another term for LNC) who gave me my first LNC gig!
Lesson 1Â
Talking to strangers is not always dangerous.;)
Lesson 2
You never know when an opportunity is knocking. You just have to open the door.Â
After I reviewed my first case as a clinical RN expert, I was hooked!
Are you kidding me? Making money for reviewing a medical record? Sign Me Up!! Initially, I worked as a subcontractor learning the ropes from a veteran LNC. That contractor gave me the LNC education I needed to be successful. I went on to build a national legal nurse consultancy.Â
I now find myself in a position where I need LNC help and I can’t find it. I can’t find LNCs who can write a great report. What I found is RNs need HELP figuring out how to do LNC analysis. RNs need help to learn how to be LNCs just like an RN transitioning from the floor to OR needs help. So, I created RN → LNC to do just that. RN → LNC provides YOU with the step-by-step approach to LNC analysis I use on every case.
